Thomas Finney is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Baltimore. He leads a team of wealth management specialists who work in concert to discern and advance a client’s financial goals. Drawing on more than 25 years in wealth management, he offers a maturity of insight and a breadth of practical experience that help individuals and families address both sides of their balance sheets. Innovative and forward thinking, he looks to channel the extensive resources and capabilities that align with client priorities, constructing long-term frameworks designed to preserve, grow, and transfer wealth effectively.

As the key point of contact, Tom stays abreast changing client circumstances. He orchestrates an intra-disciplinary approach encompassing investment management, trust and estate planning services, liquidity strategies, banking and lending, and philanthropy. Entrepreneurial by nature, he has an ingrained affinity with business owners and enjoys helping them capitalize on potential efficiencies in their personal and professional finances. He also works closely with multi-family offices. He relishes the opportunity to help generations of families streamline their wealth while giving flight to their deeply-held visions for the future. Throughout the client relationship, Tom brings an acumen and warmth that intensify his effectiveness and value.

Tom has held a number of senior leadership roles throughout his career. Prior to joining U.S. Trust in 2010, he launched the wealth advisory practice for Crestar Bank, later acquired by SunTrust. He also started a wealth advisory practice for Wilmington Trust, later acquired by M&T Bank. He served on the board of Goodwill Industries as an audit and finance officer. He is also a member of the GBMC Philanthropy Committee.

Tom earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his master’s degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University.
