Sean Lenahan is a Senior Vice President, Private Client Advisor and Institutional Client Advisor at U.S. Trust. Based in Westport, Connecticut, he has more than 15 years of experience in institutional asset management and private wealth management.

Sean leads a team of professionals to coordinate U.S. Trust's outreach to its institutional and nonprofit clientele, helping these entitites advance their underlying missions through integrated investment policy, fiduciary services, administration, governance and leadership development. He aligns investment offerings and philanthropic services with the unique needs of educational endowments, arts and cultural institutions, healthcare and faith-based organizations, and foundations. Closely attuned to challenges and opportunities that nonprofits face, Sean leads dynamic engagement with client priorities by coordinating the full resources of U.S. Trust in his interactions.

Sean has experience serving financial and organizational needs of nonprofits. Prior to joining U.S. Trust, he served as a Director in Multi-Asset Endowment and Foundation Sales at Commonfund. Previously, he was an Associate Vice President with Bessemer Trust Company, where he worked with high-net-worth private clients. His past firms also include HNW Inc., in New York City, where he oversaw the delivery of full suite marketing solutions to financial services organizations.

Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and is a graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School. He successfully completed the requirements for Cannon Financial Institute. Sean resides in Wilton, Connecticut, and is very active in local philanthropic and non-profit volunteer efforts. He is a regular volunteer with Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWs), Bridgeport Rescue Mission, and Northeast Community Church in Norwalk, Connecticut.
