Richard Aguiar is a Senior Vice President, Private Client Advisor in the Los Angeles, CA office of U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Rich leads a team of industry specialists and service professionals who work together to provide highly customized investment management, estate and wealth transfer planning, philanthropic planning, sophisticated credit and banking services to wealthy families.  Rich is also a designated Institutional Client Advisor, which allows him to advise institutional nonprofits and private foundations, in addition to his work with families. Rich's clients include corporate executives, business owners, entertainment professionals, nonprofits and private foundations. Rich believes that the broad and deep expertise of a collaborative team of specialists, combined with the fiduciary investment standard of U.S. Trust, enables his team to deliver personalized guidance that reflects clients' goals, values and passions.

Prior to joining U.S. Trust in 2013, Rich was with Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, where he was instrumental in bringing the firm's wealth management capabilities to the Los Angeles market.  Prior to that, Rich worked for SEI Investments, most recently as Managing Director for Private Banking and Trust in the Western U.S. During his 20+ year career in the financial services industry, Rich's clients have included bank wealth managers, independent financial advisors, institutional investors and wealthy families.

Rich has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Certificate in Economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.  Rich is co-chair of Bank of America's West Los Angeles Regional Council and he is active with the Midnight Mission in downtown Los Angeles, having served as co-chair of their Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser.   He has also served as President of the Los Angeles and Orange County chapters of the Georgia Tech Alumni Network.
