Kurt Ryden is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, in New York. Kurt directs the design and implementation of tailored wealth strategies for high and ultra-high net worth clients. He has experience advising C-suite executives, entrepreneurs, hedge fund principals, endowments and foundations. As the leader of a client’s U.S. Trust® team, Kurt looks to foster an optimal client experience, often navigating the intersection of multiple disciplines: investment management, trust and estate planning services, family office services, banking, pre-liquidity event strategies and philanthropy.

Kurt recognizes that significant wealth can be accompanied by significant complexity. He analyzes both sides of a client’s balance sheet to identify possible efficiencies, mindful of each client’s unique objectives. Honored to serve as a trusted advisor, Kurt is resolute in pursuing a client’s best interests, channeling resources and capabilities enterprise-wide.

Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Kurt spent more than 20 years with JP Morgan Private Bank in New York, where he was a Senior Private Banker and Managing Director. Previously, he worked for Fidelity Investments and MetLife, where he completed its CEO-sponsored Executive Training Program. He holds a B.A. from Haverford College and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Kurt serves on the Advisory Council for Haverford College’s “Fords in Finance” affinity group, is a past member of the Haverford Alumni Association Executive Committee and has been awarded the college’s Charles Perry Award for exemplary fundraising service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hiking and fishing with his family in the Adirondack Mountain Reserve (AMR), trail-running and chaperoning camping trips for the Larchmont Cub Scouts in his capacity as a Den Leader and a father of three boys.
