Professional Profile

John Murfee is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor for U.S. Trust and is based in Nashville. Well known among his friends and colleagues as a financial professional with a plain-spoken and genuine manner, John leads a very experienced team of estate and tax planning professionals, portfolio managers, private bankers, trust officers, and philanthropic experts to serve clients and their extended families. After J.C. Bradford was acquired, he later served as Vice-President at Stephens, Inc. and most recently as Managing Director of Institutional Equity Sales at Avondale Partners.

John and his wife Alison have lived in Nashville since they both graduated from Vanderbilt where John earned both his undergraduate degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Vanderbilt Owen School.  Their oldest son Jack swam for UVA where he served as Team Captain of the Men’s Swimming Team, and their youngest son Penn is a 4th generation student and athlete at Vanderbilt and is a member of the Men’s Baseball Team.
