John Stewart is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and has over 25 years of experience serving the financial needs of high net worth individuals, families, not-for profit institutions and businesses. John is responsible for providing strategic guidance to clients with respect to investment management, customized lending, trust and estate planning services and philanthropic objectives. John leads a team of dedicated specialists and accesses the vast resources of U.S. Trust to help provide comprehensive solutions with a highly personalized client experience.

Prior to joining Bank of America in 2006, John was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch and was previously with Key Bank providing commercial lending and treasury services to small and medium sized businesses. As a former commercial loan officer, John also has extensive credit experience.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the State University at Plattsburgh and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certficant. 

John is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Eastern NY and active in the community having previously served on the advisory boards of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, The Salvation Army Albany Area Services and the Visiting Nurses Association of Albany.  John currently serves on the elder board for Bethlehem Community Church and has also been active in youth programs serving as an adult leader in Boy Scouts, a mentor/instructor with Junior Achievement and leading multiple mission trips for his church’s youth group.
