Jean M. Champagne is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Houston, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana. Jean provides wealth and investment strategies to individuals, families and organizations, addressing their unique needs with diligence and care. He has experience with a broad array of closely held businesses in a wide range of industries, including non-profit organizations. He works with a team of in-house specialists who work in parallel to design integrated initiatives in investment management, wealth strategy, trust and estate planning services, banking and lending, and philanthropy.
 
He provides guidance to individuals, family businesses, private equity and venture capital firms, real estate investors, and non-profit organizations. His real world experience helps him understand each client’s position, in order to better identify strategies that deliver practical assistance and add long-term value.
 
Jean’s 35 plus years of diverse management experience includes executive management experience with a forensic consulting firm, a state chartered bank, a regulated private sewer and water utility company and a 70-person regional engineering firm. He has also had significant experience in the restaurant and real estate development industries, as well as land-use, planning and zoning. Consistent in these positions has been his commitment to mentor and develop younger staff, as well as a management style focused on empathy and integrity.
 
Jean holds a BS in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and a Juris Doctor from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans. He is a licensed Louisiana attorney and a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
