Gerald Rixie is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, in Chicago. Jerry works closely with business owners, corporate executives, and family offices, helping them assess their opportunities, simplify complexities, and pursue their goals with purpose and efficiency. A sage advisor and former executive, he brings first-hand experience and practical insight, spearheading strategies and tactics designed to add measurable value to the clients he serves.

 

An intuitive leader, Jerry builds a team of specialists around each client, orchestrating a cohesive approach that connects clients to the resources they need. He develops sustained relationships with the individuals and families he serves, refining his approach based on their priorities. His areas of focus include pre- and post- liquidity event planning, business succession, cash-flow analysis, executive compensation, banking, investment management, family dynamics and governance.

 

Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Jerry served as a Private Wealth Consultant with U.S. Bank, where he assisted business owners as a liaison to the Commercial Bank.  Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Calamos Family Partners and his career includes tenures in senior-level corporate finance positions for Chicago-area firms. Jerry began his career at Ernst & Whinney, passing the CPA exam.

 

Jerry earned his M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University and his B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

 

Active in the greater Chicago community, Jerry serves on the Board of Advisors for Catholic Charities and is a regular volunteer with the Chicago Alzheimer’s Association. He is a founding member of The Private Directors Association.
