Eric Main is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Charleston. A Charleston native with roots deep in the Lowcountry, Eric understands the priorities of area families and its vibrant institutions. Eric leads a U.S. Trust® team, channeling the company’s extensive resources to pursue a client’s long-term financial, family, and philanthropic goals. He directs a synergy of effort in multiple disciplines: investment management, wealth structuring, credit and banking, family office services, and philanthropy. 
 
Throughout his career, Eric has served as trusted resource to clients at critical crossroads in their financial lives, such as the sale or transfer of a business, or family transitions, such as marriage, death, or divorce. He not only listens to clients, but also poses compelling questions to anticipate issues and navigate challenges. He also guides clients who are relocating to Charleston and weighing the accompanying financial and personal decisions. With a lifelong interest in protecting the city and the Lowcountry, Eric also enjoys helping families explore financial strategies to preserve historic houses and conserve family lands.
 
Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Eric was a Vice President with Harbor National Bank in Charleston, where he worked closely with business owners and entrepreneurs. Previously, he was a Private Client Advisor with SunTrust Bank in St. Simons Island, Georgia, where he provided wealth strategies to high net worth families. His career in financial services began in 1993 in Charleston with National Bank of SC.
 
Eric earned his B.A. in International Studies from Emory University and his M.B.A. from The Citadel.
 
Eric serves on the board of the Coastal Carolina Boy Scout Council and supports local competitive Junior Sailing. He is an active member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church.
