David E. Sorensen is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Walnut Creek, California. David works with high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals and families to deliver a personalized approach to complex financial structures. He provides guidance on asset allocation, financial strategy and leverage, tax efficiency, and intergenerational transfers. David seeks to provide clients with financial guidance in the areas of asset management and debt management, as well as, potential solutions for complex commercial real estate financing needs.

As a Private Client Advisor, David manages a team of U.S. Trust® specialists, each of whom have in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as: investments, trust and fiduciary services, estate planning, philanthropy, family office services, and credit and lending. David oversees the implementation of customized initiatives and help clients to periodically monitor strategies for changes in family situations and life events.

Prior to joing U.S. Trust, David was a Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Wells Fargo's Private Bank. He also managed the Real Estate Group office in Walnut Creek, California. David has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years and has broad experience in investment management, trust and fiduciary services, commercial lending, and real estate finance.

David earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and his M.B.A. degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas Business School. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®)  designation from CFA Institute.

David serves on the Board of Directors of HomeAid Northern California, a nonprofit organization providing housing for the homeless.
