David Salit serves as a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Utilizing his three decades of experience in the financial services industry, David oversees strategy for existing client relationships and is responsible for new business development. He leads a Rhode Island-based team of dedicated and talented wealth management professionals who provide investment management, sophisticated credit services, wealth structuring, and private banking services to high net worth families and nonprofit organizations.

Prior to his current role at U.S. Trust, David managed client portfolios as both a Portfolio Manager and the RI Market Investment Director. Earlier in his career, David spent several years as a manager in the Corporate Finance division at Fleet Boston Financial. He began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick in 1987, an internationally-renowned accounting and consulting firm, serving in various roles in both the Washington D.C. and Boston markets. David earned his BBA degree from Georgetown University, graduating with honors in 1987.  He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification.

Actively involved in his community, David serves as a member of Georgetown University’s Alumni Admissions Program, as well as on the Board of Directors for the RI chapter of the March of Dimes, Providence Performing Arts Center, UCAP School and Corliss Institute (an organization which provides social and rehabilitative services to deaf persons).  He is also a member of the Providence Society of Financial Analysts, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of CPAs.

David and his team seek to understand each client’s unique goals and perspectives in order to develop a thoughtful and customized strategy that is tailored to help meet their needs, while leveraging the comprehensive capabilities and resources of both U.S. Trust and Bank of America.
