Andy Janfaza is a Managing Director, Private Client Advisor and Institutional Client Advisor with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Boston.
As the leader of a client’s U.S. Trust® team, Andy helps guide productive decision-making and provides financial strategies for institutions and families. Since 1996, Andy has worked with clients who have complex needs, including non-profit endowment committees and family foundations; private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund principals; as well as entrepreneurs, business owners and senior executives.
Andy directs initiatives across multiple disciplines, drawing on his own extensive experience and the detailed knowledge of U.S. Trust® specialists in investment management, institutional and philanthropic services, trust and estate planning services, credit and banking.  He is skilled in anticipating issues, unifying goals, and charting and communicating a clear path of action.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Andy spent six years as a senior executive focused on marketing and new business development with HighVista Strategies, an endowment-style fund based in Boston. Previously, he spent 12 years in wealth management as a Director with Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown and was a Vice President with Goldman Sachs.
Andy earned his A.B. in History from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Andy also has extensive hands-on experience as a volunteer, having served on numerous boards and investment committees. He is a current board member of Harvard Hillel, an advisory board member of the Harvard Varsity Club, and a current trustee of Hebrew Senior Life, a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital focused on elder care and geriatric research. He is also a past trustee of the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, The Meadowbrook School of Weston and Noble and Greenough School, where he served on the investment committee for 15 years.
